The Solar Series Airfield
Lighting System (ALS) is the worlds only complete solar powered airfield
lighting system. The system includes radio controlled solar powered elevated
runway, threshold, taxiway, obstruction and helipad lights with a hand held
2.4GHz encrypted radio controller, frangible mounting solutions and supporting
air traffic control communication systems. For continuous IFR operations, the
Solar Series ALS can be equipped with optional power cables, airfield lighting
system control unit, power distribution unit and PC based software control
systems for ATC from air, ground and tower. For supporting navigational aids,
the solar PAPI, solar windsock, solar LED airfield signs and mobile ATC
communications with transport trailers can all be added.

A revolutionary new optical lens design with high-intensity visible/IR dual-mode LEDs gives the AV-420 unparalleled effective intensity. Optional radio control allows for users to control infrared function, light intensity and turn lights on and off .
The AV-420 can be quickly deployed as a cost-effective runway lighting system. With no trenching or cabling required, a two-person crew can install a fully operational 5,000 ft. runway in one hour or less, making it ideal for use during emergencies or natural disasters.
Split-lens versions are available for caution (red/green) and threshold (amber/white) lighting applications.
